Pamela Owusu-Brenyah engagiert sich für die Sichtbarkeit von zeitgenössischer afrikanischer Kultur in Deutschland. Die in Berlin lebende Musikberaterin, Festivalorganisatorin und Filmemacherin ist derzeit Programmkuratorin für das Pop-Kultur Festival und hat in der Vergangenheit als A&R für Universal Music Central Europe & Africa gearbeitet.
Seit 2019 ist sie als Beraterin und Programmkuratorin für Pop-Kultur, Reeperbahn Festival, Bundesministerium für Entwicklung und Zusammenarbeit, Gropius Bau und viele mehr tätig. 2018 gründete sie ihr Festival Afro x Pop, das talentierten Musikern aus der afrodeutschen Szene eine Bühne geben möchte. Mit ihrer Community-Plattform baut sie Brücken zwischen Künstler*innen des Kontinents und der Diaspora und zelebriert die kulturelle Vielfalt des Kontinents.
Darüber hinaus ist Pamela Jurymitglied des Festivalförderfonds der Initiative Musik und Vorstandsmitglied von Music Women Germany – einem bundesweiten Netzwerk, das sich für die Gleichstellung und Teilhabe von FLINTA einsetzt.
Pamela Owusu-Brenyah is committed to the visibility of contemporary African culture in Germany. The Berlin-based music consultant, festival organizer, and filmmaker is currently a program curator for Pop-Kultur Festival and has worked in the past as an A&R for Universal Music Central Europe & Africa.
Since 2019 she has been working as a consultant and curated program for Pop-Kultur, Reeperbahn Festival, German Federal Ministry for Development and Cooperation, Gropius Bau and many more.
In 2018, she founded her festival Afro x Pop, which aims to give a stage to talented musicians from the Afro-German scene. With her community platform, she builds bridges between artists from the continent and the diaspora, and celebrates the cultural diversity of the continent.
In addition, Pamela is a jury member of Initiative Music’s Festivalförderfonds , as well as a board member of Music Women* Germany – a nationwide network dedicated to the equality and participation of FLINTA .
